Why can't I upload gallery pictures?

In order for gallery image uploads to work, the following conditions must be fulfilled:

• The gallery image to be uploaded must be one of the following types (file extension): '.jpg' or '.gif' or '.png'.
• A maximum of 8 gallery pictures can be uploaded. In addition, the size of each gallery picture must not exceed the 5 MB (megabytes) size limitation.
